Public Transport

The tram station Pinakotheken of lines 27 and 28 is located right next to the venue. The nearest U-Bahn station is Theresienstraße, which is about an 9 minutes’ walk away. This station is very well connected, as it is served by the lines U2 and U8. The U-Bahn station Odeonsplatz is also not far away and is served by lines U3, U4, U5, and U6.

The public transport system in Munich is very extensive. The website of the MVV offers tickets for the public transport for 1 – 5 days that allow you to use public transport around the city centre. If you opt for the entire network as area of validity, it also includes traveling from and to the airport.

Train

Take the train to München Hauptbahnhof (Hbf). From there, walk or take Tram 16 or 17 to Karlsplatz. There you transfer to Tram 27 or 28 from Karlsplatz to Pinakotheken.

Alternatively, take the train to München Hauptbahnhof (Hbf). From there you can take a U-Bahn (U4 or U5) to Odeonsplatz or U2 to Theresienstraße. From there, it is less than a 10-minute walk to the venue.

Plane

Fly to MUC (Munich Airport, Munich Airport, German: Flughafen München ,,Franz Josef Strauß”) and take the S-Bahn S8 or S1 to Karlsplatz. At Karlsplatz you can either walk for 15 minutes or take Tram 27 or 28 from Karlsplatz to Pinakotheken. From there it is a 2-minute walk to the venue. The complete travel from the airport will take about an hour.

Further alternatives are the Lufthansa Bus from MUC to the main station or a taxi. The taxi will need about 45 minutes and at rush hour it may be slower than public transport.

Car

Please use the navigation aid of your choice and travel to the address. This is an inner city location with little public parking. There is no nearby public parking garage. You can also park your car outside the center at so-called Park + Ride stations with access to public transport. Also be aware that if you access the city center, you may risk a fine if you do not have an emissions sticker.
